The Korean company Samsung in Argentina presented its new smartphone Galaxy SIII, the most sophisticated and unique local market, which is manufactured in Tierra del Fuego.

The new smartphone, which worldwide is the biggest competitor of Apple’s iPhone will be available in the country from August 5th through the three major carriers, with different plans starting at $ 199 with voice and data services and equipment costs from $ 2,499 (Movistar) and $ 2699 (Clear and Personnel). Released (without credit), its price will vary from $ 5,200 and $ 5,500, making it more expensive in the local market.

The model, which was launched globally in London in late May, was last week sold over 10 million units worldwide. In Argentina, already has some 20,000 reservations before arrival. The first production run was 60,000 units, while just over half will be available on August 5.

Its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy SII, sold 140,000 units in the country since September last year, which generated more expectations on the new Galaxy family member. From Samsung said they expect at least double those sales with the new model.

This new phone is notable for its power, the huge screen and, above all, by their level of interaction with the user through an intuitive interface that identifies the face, voice and movement of the user. Among others, it offers the function?? S Voice? With which listens and responds to a voice to look up information or instructions (listen to songs, change volume, send SMS or emails or activate the camera).

HD has a 4.8-inch screen, 8MP camera and 1.9MP front camera that recognizes faces. It has the power of Android 4.0 (the best selling system of the local market with 48% since 2009) and intuitive technology that allows a personalized mobile experience. It has quad-core processor of 1.4 GHz (the first in the local market) and 1 GB of RAM, which gives it great speed to perform several activities at once without delay.
