Fiat gets three of the five JD Power awards do Brasil

Fiat had three of its models recognized among the top five in Brazil according to the study “2012 Vehicle Ownership Satisfaction Study Brazil (VOSS)” by JD Power of Brazil. The vehicles were highlighted: Siena Fire in the compact car segment entry, Mille and sub-compact and compact point upper category.

The study, results of eight thousand interviews conducted via the Internet, is based on the evaluation of the owners in relation to their vehicles and resellers through four satisfaction metrics: cost of ownership, design and vehicle performance, after sales experience, and quality the vehicle. In 2012, overall satisfaction reached the average value of 754 points on a scale of 1000 pontos – an improvement of eight points compared to last year. According to the study, was Automóveis Fiat most improved brand in 2012, receiving 26 pontos more year after year and ranking above the industry average.According to J.D. Power, Brazilian owners assessing the cost of ownership as the most important requirement of satisfaction with 46%, followed by design and performance, with 22% and after-sales experience, with 20%. The quality of the vehicle received only 12%.

The highlight for the cost of property owners is because they spend a higher percentage of their income in the cost of their vehicles, such as maintenance, repairs, fuel, taxes, insurance, among others, vehicle owners in other countries.

The study also found that the relative reliability / durability is highly regarded in the selection of a model for owners of new vehicles in Brazil. Most homeowners – 51% – indicated that this relationship is the most important purchase, followed by fuel consumption, with 50%.
