The president of the Union Industrial Argentina present at the Business 20 (B20)
The president of the Union Industrial Argentina, José Ignacio de Mendiguren, heads the delegation of the entity that will participate in the B20 Business Summit on 17 and 18 June, consisting of business representatives and experts from the G20 countries. This meeting will be held on the eve of the G20 Leaders Summit in Los Cabos, Mexico (18 and 19 June).
During the meeting, the UIA will participate in the discussions leading up to the meetings of Heads of State during the G20 Summit, addressing relevant issues of global reach such as: Food Security, Green Growth, Employment, Improving transparency and combating corruption , Trade and Investment, ITC and innovation, and financing for growth and development. In these, the Industrial Union representatives will carry the vision of current and future situation of developing countries, particularly the need to deepen the processes of industrialization, generation of local added value, local technological development and expansion of small and medium enterprises.
Dr. Jose Ignacio de Mendiguren participate in the Working Group on Financing for Growth and Development, Dr. Frederick Nicholson, vice president UIA is responsible for Green Growth, Dr. Luis Betnaza, UIA Vice President, the pool of Trade and Investment, and Mr. Alberto Alvarez Saavedra, SMI vice president of the UIA, will participate in the working group of ITC and Innovation. Likewise, Dr. Daniel Funes de Rioja, as representative of the Industrial Union in the OIE (International Organization of Employers), part of the working group on Employment.
The agenda of the President begins tomorrow as part of a dinner organized by the president of the Mouvement des Entreprises de France, MEDEF-, to be attended by the presidents of major business associations of the countries of the B20, to strengthen build relationships and dialogue between business and governments. Along with the Industrial Union of Argentina will participate BDI Germany, the National Confederation of Industries (CNI) of Brazil, the Confindustria of Italy and the AIG Australia, among others.
