It begins in Angola election campaign political formations
Luanda. – The election campaign in Angola, one of the most important phases of the electoral process in order to vote next August 31, will start today in this country with the participation of nine political parties.
These parties and coalitions conducted activities that detail their programs of government for the next five years until August 29 next, as part of the canvassing of votes.
For this exercise, supported by the electoral law, parties present at the elections used to promote dissemination media applications such as radio and television, among others.
According to the Constitutional Court, the parties admitted to attend the upcoming voting are People’s Liberation Movement of Angola (MPLA), National Union for the Total Independence of Angola (UNITA) and the Social Renewal Party (PRS).
Also listed are the National Front for the Liberation of Angola (FNLA) and the Popular Party for Development (Papod).
Among the coalitions are New Democracy-Electoral Union (EU-ND), Convergence Angola Salvation Wide-Electoral Coalition (CASA-EC), Opposition Political Consultative Council (CPO) and United Front for Change of Angola (FUMA, for its acronym in Portuguese).
In the next election lawsuit, the party or coalition will vote the President and Vice President (head of list). At this crucial process also elect deputies to the National Assembly, currently consisting of 220 members.
In order to vote come August epileptic records were enrolled in more than eight million Angolan voters, according to electoral bodies.
