Deputies debated bills dedicated to decriminalize drug use
Eight bills decriminalizing drug possession for personal use will be analyzed from this week in the House of Representatives, in two days to which were invited ministers, judges, officials and specialists.
At a plenary debate in the House committees, to be held on Wednesday and Thursday, were invited Security Minister Nilda Garre, Secretary of Sedronar, Rafael Bielsa, and the Minister of the Supreme Court Eugenio Zaffaroni.
Also planned is the dissertation of the holder of the National Public Policy on the prevention and control of drug trafficking, Monica Cuñarro and the director of the Ministry of Health Addictions, Alberto Calabrese.
The plenary will bring together members of the commission on Prevention of Drug Addiction and Control, chaired by Mario Fiad radical, and Criminal Law, by the official Oscar Albrieu.
Ministers, officials and legislators will speak from the 10 on Wednesday, while Thursday will turn to experts, representatives of consumer organizations that gather, mothers of young consumers of paco, scientists, researchers and sociologists skilled in the art .
The initiatives will begin to discuss proposed amendments to Law 23,737 and, among other things, set-for example, that when “arise unequivocally that (drug delivery) is for personal use recepta who (…) the penalty shall be six months to three years in prison. “

On another level, part of congressional suggestions point to include in the Article 29 Law 23,737 c that allows the consumption of the chemical tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) “when used for therapeutic purposes or for the investigation of their potential effectiveness as medication therapy or control of symptoms. “
