Washington. – Although it has raised more money than the U.S. President, Barack Obama, in recent months, the approval rating of Republican candidate Mitt Romney virtual shown inversely proportional to the monetary donations.

A recent survey found that the former governor of Massachusetts lost ground against the president, who seeks to prevent a second term after the November elections.

If the elections were on Friday, the ruling would accumulate 49 percent of the vote compared to 40 for Romney, found the study of Fox News.

This is striking, since a month before his own polling found that the government was enjoying a lead of just four points over his rival, 45 to 41 percent.

According to the results, the Republican campaign is not quite right, after a barrage of ads critical of Democratic side, the blunders committed during his recent tour of the United Kingdom, Israel and Poland, as well as the charges against him for tax evasion .

In London, Romney questioned the country’s ability to serve as host the XXX Olympic Games, comments prompted outrage from British officials.

While in Tel Aviv, the Mormon candidate met with President Shimon Peres and Prime Minister Netanyahu Binjamin, to whom he declared that Jerusalem is the capital of the Jewish state and would move the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to there if elected.

Such statements prompted severe criticism of the leading authorities of the Palestinian National Authority (PNA).

Chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat described as “disturbing and totally unacceptable” statements by Romney, which, in their view, damage the peace process.

In recent days, senior figures in the Democratic Party attacked Romney and accused him of tax evasion.

Even Senate Democratic leader, Harry Reid, said the former governor has spent a decade without contributing to the treasury.

Romney, who reached the White House would become one of the richest elected presidents, has refused to make public his income tax personal income.

Members have called the red party ordered to do so to prevent his Democratic critics distort the information and use it against him on the campaign trail and less than 100 days of the presidential elections.

The Fox News poll confirms that on the campaign of former Governor could estarse positioning a dark cloud that would jeopardize its aspiration to become the 44th president of the United States.

This despite the fact that Obama raised more money, for in July for the third consecutive month, racked up $ 101 million, while Democrats got 75 million.
