The Fisherman’s Feast is one of the most important events of Mar del Plata.

Fisherman’s Feast was declared of National Interest and each year thousands of people attend to enjoy the celebration that includes musical performances, a procession of the Virgin, and many attractive gastronomic walk more. The National Party takes place Fishermen in the port area and is a very good opportunity to know the place and taste dishes made with seafood.

12/enero:
At 20 hours will be held the central act of inauguration of the festival. Presentation, speeches alluding to the conclusion by the authorities. And the traditional “wash noodles”, marks the beginning of the Feast. Attending the Mayor of Mar del Plata and the owner of Fishermen Society Standards.

Every day:
From 11.00 am. am to 2.00 pm. in the morning you can visit the Fisherman’s Cantina, located in a large tent outside the square housing the fish auction market. Fishermen in the Cantina you can taste traditional dishes and seafood.
In prime time every night can witness important events on the stage located in the Fisherman’s Cantina. Also be presented in different display booth at the Fiesta.

28/enero:
Election of the Queen of the Fishermen and art show.

29/enero:
Traditional procession with the statue of the patron and protector of fishermen, San Salvador.
11.00 hs. Mass at Holy Family Church.
15.30 hs. Procession to the shoulder of the fishermen and wreaths at the monument to the fishermen.
16.00. Blessing of the seafood and the beginning of the nautical procession with offerings of flowers to the sea in honor of the fishermen died at sea. Then there will be games and contests where fishermen display their skills.
To close the image of the Patron Saint returns to the Sagrada Familia church.
